The web-slinger has been entertaining readers for decades and also one of the strongest characters in the medium.

Peter Parker has gone toe to toe with plenty of the biggest heroes Marvel has to offer, but the web-slinger would have no trouble against some of DC's bravest and boldest. Emphasis on "some."
CBR VIDEO OF THE DAY
Updated on November 21, 2022 by David Harth: Spider-Man is an incredibly skilled hero, able to punch way above his weight class in the Marvel universe. DC boasts a lot of very powerful heroes, but Spider-Man has proven that he's able to surprise foes who should wipe the floor with him time and again. He's the best around and there are plenty of DC heroes he could beat – as well as ones who can take him down.
Spider-Man Couldn't Beat
Jon Kent Overpowers Spider-Man Way Too Much
Jon Kent was born to be Superman. Taking over when his father left to free Warworld, Jon proved that he was a different kind of Superman, more socially conscious and more averse to using violence to solve all of his problems. However, just because he didn't like to fight doesn't mean that he can't, as he has all the requisite Kryptonian powers.
Spider-Man is vastly outclassed by Jon. Even with the spider-sense, Spider-Man isn't going to be able to avoid every blow Jon throws. As far as offense, Spider-Man isn't nearly strong enough to beat Jon. The young Superman would take it easy on the Wall-Crawler, but he'd win the fight easily.
Martian Manhunter Has Too Many Ways To Take Spidey Down
Martian Manhunter is the Swiss Army knife of the Justice League. He has Superman level strength and durability, can fire eyebeams, shapeshift, become invisible and intangible, fly, and is a telepath. He's a brilliant fighter with years of experience. His weakness to fire is rather mundane, but he's smart enough to not let that stop him from winning.
RELATED: The First 15 DC Superheroes In Chronological Order
Spider-Man is good, but he can't really deal with someone with the powers of Martian Manhunter. J'onn doesn't even really have to fight Spider-Man. He can shut him down telepathically with a thought. Or he could use his mind powers to mess with the Wall-Crawler's spider-sense and then take him down with one punch.
Black Adam Would Wipe The Floor With Spider-Man
Black Adam's tenure as an anti-hero has landed him stints in the Justice Society and Justice League. As a champion of Shazam, Black Adam is at a Superman level of power. He's strong, fast, experienced, and doesn't hold back in battle. On top of all of his other powers, he can fire off magical blasts of lightning, giving him a great long range attack. Adam is a brutal combatant that most would rather not fight.
Spider-Man's mouthy nature and agility are going to anger Black Adam. Spider-Man is good at using his enemies' emotion against them, but an angry Black Adam is not something anyone wants to deal with. Adam's power is simply so much greater than Spider-Man. He's also faster and more mobile. The fight won't be quick, but once Black Adam connects, it's over.
Superman's Kryptonian Powers Keep Him Out Of Spidey's League
Clark Kent is the ultimate superhero. Whether it is his superhuman strength, speed, vision, or invincibility, Superman has the edge over most foes, with fighting skills and experience that are unmatched. It's no surprise that Superman would beat the web-slinger rather easily.
RELATED: 10 Betrayals Spider-Man Never Recovered From
Spider-Man is no joke to go up against, but Superman's seemingly never-ending list of abilities would be too much for Parker to handle. Peter Parker is a genius in his own way, but he would have a tough time thinking of a way to stop the Man of Steel. Unless Spider-Man has some Kryptonite lying around, there's no chance he could beat Superman in a fair fight.
Wonder Woman Is A Brilliant Warrior
The Princess Diana of the Amazons is an important member of the Justice League, and is an unstoppable force. Wonder Woman has some impressive abilities that make her a tough adversary to the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
In addition to her powers, Wonder Woman has incredible tools like the Lasso of Truth and the iconic invisible jet. Wonder Woman is also an expert swordswoman, wielding an intimidating magical sword and shield. Even though Spider-Man has an incredible heart and willpower, his efforts would fall short against Wonder Woman's impressive skill set.
The Flash's Speed Would Overwhelm The Wall-Crawler
Spider-Man's extra sense gives him a superhuman ability to dodge incoming attacks. While Spider-Man has used this ability to evade some attacks that he couldn't even see in the past, it's hard to imagine he'd be able to dodge the world's fastest man alive. The Flash is so fast, he's run through time, vibrated through walls, and can throw a punch with infinite mass behind it.
The fight might be close, but Spider-Man would have a difficult time slowing down the Flash enough to beat him. Spider-Man definitely has a chance to land a few good blows, but the Flash is just too fast and unpredictable for him to beat.
Green Lantern's Ringslinging Skills Would Be Too Much For Spider-Man
Green Lanterns are given their abilities through powerful rings that allow them to conjure shapes and objects from their imaginations through their will power. Hal Jordan is considered the best in the Corps, a skilled and fearless ringslinger.
RELATED: Spider-Man's 10 Most Humiliating Victories
Hal has faced off against the most dangerous threats in the universe. His ring allows him create perfect defense and his offensive abilities are going to be hard for Spider-Man to match. His spider-sense would be useless; Hal can just grab with the ring and bash him into walls until he's knocked out.
Batman Is Smart Enough To Beat Anyone
Bruce Wayne is extremely wealthy, trained by the greatest martial artists on the planet, and the world's greatest detective. Batman's the greatest vigilante there is, but that's not all he can do. Having been able to single-handedly beat the entire Justice League on his own, Batman would surely be able to take on Spider-Man.
The only way Spider-Man would win the fight would be if he could somehow catch Batman by surprise, but it's unlikely he could surprise the best detective in the world. Bruce Wayne is always one step ahead of his opponents; he learns their weaknesses and capitalizes on them.
Spider-Man Could Beat
Beast Boy And Spider-Man Would Get Along, But Spidey Would Win The Fight
Beast Boy is limited in that he can only transform into animals, but that's served him very well. He can transform into something as small as a hummingbird or as large and powerful as a tyrannosaur. He may be a flippant, but his years with the Titans have shown that he's a versatile and skilled fighter.
Beast Boy and Spider-Man would make great friends, but Spidey has him beat. He's a much smarter fighter than Beast Boy, which is going to make all the difference. Beast Boy will surprise the Wall-Crawler with his tenacity, but the younger hero will make a mistake that Spider-Man can exploit.
Starfire's Good, But She's Not Spider-Man Good
Starfire survived terrible abuse at the hands of the Warlords of Okkara and escaped to Earth. The Tamaranean warrior princess joined the Teen Titans and has proven to be a remarkably skilled hero ever since. Her starbolts, flight, super strength, and durability make her a heavy hitter, and she's a skilled enough fighter to challenge Amazons in combat.
Starfire's flight gives her a mobility advantage and her starbolts give her a better long range weapon, but that's nothing Spider-Man hasn't dealt with before. Starfire would give him a great fight, but he knows how to win this battle. He'll fall back on webbing and agility and take Starfire out once she closes the distance.
Nightwing's Lack Of Powers Will Be His Downfall Against Spider-Man
Dick Grayson fought crime for years as the iconic sidekick, Robin. When he graduated from his role as sidekick, Grayson took on the identity of Nightwing and took to crime-fighting in his own way. Nightwing is an expert martial artist, highly skilled in acrobatics, and a genius detective.
However, Peter Parker would be able to handle everything Nightwing has to offer. Spider-Man is one of the most agile superheroes of all time and his spider senses would give him a massive advantage against Nightwing in a fight. While a hand-to-hand fight might be close between the two heroes, Spider-Man's superhuman abilities ultimately would win him the battle.
Batgirl Couldn't Handle Spider-Man
Batgirl is a highly skilled crime-fighter who uses her intellect to solve the mysteries she encounters. Batgirl uses some gadgets, although not as many as her crime-fighting partner, Batman. She's a very experienced fighter and has put down enemies with superpowers when she needs to.
Spider-Man would be able to use all of his powers to beat Batgirl in a fight, although it would be a close battle. Batgirl is smart and uses the resources she has to gain an advantage in battle. Peter Parker is also very smart and resourceful, so it would come down to a hand-to-hand fight. Spider-Man just has superior reflexes and instincts that would ultimately win him the battle.
Green Arrow's Got The Skills, But Spider-Man's Got Amazing Power
Oliver Queen is a wealthy businessman who trained for years in order to become Green Arrow. He is a master in martial arts, a skilled swordsman, and of course, an expert marksman. Despite all of his skills, Spider-Man would be able to beat the Green Arrow because of his superior agility and instincts.
RELATED: 10 DC Comics Heroes Who Thrive On Teams
Spider-Man would be able to dodge any arrows using his spider senses and then be able to subdue Oliver Queen with his web-slinging and acrobatics. Green Arrow is a great hero and a skilled fighter, but he would not be able to match Peter Parker in a real fight.
Booster Gold Makes Way Too Many Mistakes To Beat Spidey
Booster Gold is a time-traveling hero who has joined forces with the Justice League many times. The futuristic athlete has used technology to give him abilities that put him in the fight against supervillains. Unfortunately, he's one of many DC heroes who haven't reached their full potential. His technology gives him super strength, flight, the ability to fire energy blasts, and a forcefield.
Spider-Man has fought plenty of villains that use tech in the same way Booster Gold uses it, and he is always able to outsmart his adversaries. Spider-Man's strength and reflexes would be too much for Booster Gold to match. Booster messes up a lot, which would give Spider-Man the opening he needs to win.
Cyborg Has Nothing Spider-Man Hasn't Already Dealt With
Cyborg is the ultimate combination of man and machine. Using the most advanced tech available, Victor Stone is able to fight alongside the Justice League, as well as being a member of the New Teen Titans. While his tech is far superior to any other hero, Cyborg would have a hard time going up against the web slinger's superior instincts and agility.
The deciding factor would be Spider-Man's spider-sense, which would give him the ability to dodge most of Cyborg's attacks. Although Cyborg may have more resources, Spider-Man has far superior reflexes, with the agility to dodge and counter any attack. The fight would be close, but Spider-Man's superhuman abilities would again give him the advantage.
