There is a lot to unpack about Attack On Titan's Beast Titan, as well as Tom, Zeke, and some of the other people that have been affected by it.

10 ItTried To Have A Conversation With Mike
Due to many of them not having the ability to speak, both characters and fans have been shocked to find out that some of them actually can talk. Mike, the second strongest soldier of Paradis, encountered the Beast Titan when fans first saw it. As Mike was about to be eaten by a normal titan, the Beast Titan told it to wait and tried to have a conversation with Mike. He asked him about the vertical maneuvering gear.
Terrified to reply, Mike remained silent, causing the Beast Titan to take the equipment from him. He allowed the surrounding titans to eat Mike and heard his cries of agony, knowing that the soldier was able to understand him. The Beast Titan's inheritors have spoken other times in their titan form.
9 It Was One Of The Seven Titans Taken Under Marley's Control
When the titans first appeared, they were all under Eldia's control as Ymir, the first titan, was loyal to King Fritz. However, in the Great Titan War, Eldia's greatest enemy, Marley, was able to take seven of the Nine Titans, with the Beast Titan being one of them.
The other six were the Colossal Titan, the Armored Titan, the Female Titan, the Attack Titan, the Jaw Titan, and the Cart Titan. Marley turned Eldian children into titans so that they would be able to use the greatest weapons of their time.

Tom Ksaver was one of the two known inheritors of the Beast Titan. After his Marleyan wife found out that he was an Eldian, she killed herself and their son. Devastated, he decided to kill himself by inheriting the Beast Titan, only giving him thirteen years left to live. In that time, he studied the titans, not participating in battle. He wished he was never born.
7 Tom Met His Successor, Zeke,Who Would Eventually Take Over The Beast Titan
If there was one good thing to happen in Tom's life, it was meeting his successor, Zeke Yeager. Zeke was forced to join the Warrior Unit by his parents, Grisha and Dina, who were also the leaders of the Eldian Restorationists.

Seeing that Zeke wasn't a fighter, Tom saw himself in the young boy and hoped that he could regain the relationship he had with his deceased son. The two enjoyed playing catch with each other and grew a strong bond. Zeke ended up thinking of Tom as his father rather than Grisha.
6 Tom Talked Zeke Into Betraying His Parents In Order To SaveZeke's Life
When Zeke heard the Marleyan government talk about the Eldian Restorationists, he knew that his parents would be discovered. He told Tom the truth about his parents. He saved Zeke by telling him to accuse them if he didn't want to die with them. Grisha and Dina, as well as the rest of their group, were sent to Paradis.
All of the members, except for Grisha, turned into normal titans, while he inherited the Attack Titan. Marley saw Zeke's loyalty, allowing him to end up inheriting the Beast Titan.
5 Tom And Zeke Figure Out How The Beast Titan Can Help Save The World
When they got older and the two knew that Zeke would soon take the Beast Titan from Tom, they had a conversation that made them realize what they would need to do in order to be saved. Tom told Zeke about how he learned that the Founding Titan's powers were able to change the bodies of every Eldian.
Zeke asked if the Founding Titan would be able to make it so no Eldian could have children, allowing the race to die so that the world would no longer live in fear of them nor would they live miserable lives. Zeke decided that he would take the Founding Titan and save the world.
4 Zeke DiscoversThat His Beast Titan Has Powers No Previous Version Has Had
Unlike Tom and the other predecessors of the Beast Titan, Zeke has special abilities that only he could use. He is able to turn Eldians into titans by screaming if they drink his spinal fluid.

When he went to Paradis, he used this power on the citizens of Ragako, the small village where Connie was raised. His comrades were forced to kill his father and siblings. However, when his mother was turned into a titan, she was unable to move and remained on top of her house for years. Zeke also used this power in order to turn Levi against other soldiers and when Marley invaded Paradis.
3 The Battle AtShiganshina Turned Levi Into One Of The Beast Titan's Biggest Enemies
When he went to Paradis, Zeke made a lot of enemies in the Survey Corps. When they fought each other at Shiganshina, the Beast Titan, as well as the Armored Titan and Colossal Titan, blocked their enemies' escape route, giving them the advantage. Erwin Smith, the commander of the Survey Corps at the time, knew that they would die.
He led his soldiers to their deaths in order to distract Zeke whileCaptain Levi made his wayaround them. Erwin and most of the other soldiers were killed as Zeke threw rocks at them. Failing his mission of killing the Beast Titan, Levi swore to avenge them and has wanted Zeke dead since. He made a lot of other enemies in Paradis, but these two were his greatest.
2 ZekeFinally Met His Little Brother, Eren
After escaping from Levi and killing the Survey Corps members, Zeke met his little brother, Eren. After Grisha became the Attack Titan and went to Wall Maria, he started another family. When Zeke's comrades allowed the titans to get into Wall Maria, Grisha sought help from the royal family. However, once they refused, he inherited the Founding Titan and passed it, as well as the Attack Titan, to his second son.
Zeke didn't learn about his little brother until he reunited with Reiner and Bertholdt. Convinced that Grisha had used Eren the way he used him, Zekedecided to save Eren and help him. However,Eren was the one that ended up using him in order to achieve his goal, freedom for Paradis.
1 The Beast Titan Is Capable Of Taking Non-Gorilla-Like Forms, Including Forms That Allow For Flight
After accidentally drinking Zeke's spinal fluid, Falco was turned into a titan and ate the Jaw Titan. Though he inherited Porco's powers, he also gained characteristics and memories of the Beast Titan. In one of the most recent chapters of the manga, he told Annie, Gabi, and Kiyomi that he could see another Beast Titan, one that could fly.
It seems that not every inheritor of the Beast Titan looks like a gorilla. Fans have theorized this since the opening of Season 2, where the Beast Titan was seen running with other animals that have not made an appearance in the series yet. Readers believe that these are past inheritors of the Beast Titan.
